Have you ever thought that why does Canada invite immigrants
in such a huge bulk?
Well, to raise the economy rate and skilled population in
the country, the Canadian government has been introducing new immigration
pathways since last few decades. And Canada’s
Express entry program successfully fulfills both the goals. In 2015,
Express entry program came into limelight. It was aimed to increase the number
of entries of skilled foreign workers in Canada to meet the shortage of
workforce in the labor’s market.
Federal Express entry is a point-based Canadian immigration pathway which
known as a major driver of skilled and experienced immigrants in the country.
It gets branched into three economic sub-categories including, Federal
Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal
Skilled Trades Class (FSTC) and Canadian
Experience Class (CEC).
Each of them has separate eligibility criteria and
requirements to check the potency of the candidate for the Canadian market and
economy.

Without qualifying the eligibility criteria of the applied
immigration program, no applicant gets an invitation for Canadian
Permanent Residence (PR). However, the question is which documents are
mandatory to check whether a candidate is qualifying the eligibility criteria
or not.
Documents to prove the present age:
- Birth certificate or any identity proof
Documents to prove educational background:
- Copy of degree, certificate or diploma from a Canadian university or college is necessary. In case, an applicant has completed education outside Canada, then Education Credential Assessment (ECA) from an approved authority like WES is mandatory to submit along with the application form.
Documents to prove language proficiency:
- Scorecard of language proficiency test is necessary to determine whether an applicant can read, write, speak and understand any of Canadian official languages or not.
Documents to prove Work experience:
The work experience included in Express entry system must be
1560 hours per year or 30 hours per week; it means he/she needs to work either
in one full time paid job for one year (30 hours per week * 12 = 1560 hours for
one year); or,
Part-time job for 15 hours per week for 24 months,
equivalent to 1560 hours; or,
Full time paid jobs for 30 hours per week in more than one
job for 12 months to fulfill 1560 hours in one year
- An applicant needs a reference or experience letter printed on company letterhead from the employer to prove the work experience detailed. It must enlist the following particulars including,
- Name of the applicant
- Company’s name, and its contact information like address, telephone number and email address
- Name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company
- Indicate all positions or job titles of the applicant in the company throughout his/her journey there
- Job status (working/relieved)
- List of duties and responsibilities in the company
- Information on annual salary plus benefits
- The time duration for which he/she worked in the company including the number of work hours per week
- In case an applicant is self-employed, then instead of official experience letter, he/she needs to submit the following:
- Evidence of self-employment income
- Articles of incorporation or supporting documents of business ownership,
- Documentation or payment receipts from third-party individuals indicating the service provided by an applicant
- If the work experience is in Canada, then proof may include,
